Description:
We are looking for volunteers to work on our Advice and Helpline services, providing support to women and girls who have experienced or are affected by gender-based violence.

 

As an Advice & Helpline Volunteer (AHV), you will receive:

 

Meaningful and practical front-line experience of supporting women who have experienced gender-based violence, within a leading feminist women’s charity

The opportunity to make a different to survivor’s lives

Training and ongoing support

Reasonable travel and food expenses

If you have the ability to support women to make safe and informed choices within an empowering feminist framework, then we would like to hear from you!

 

We particularly welcome applications from women who speak more than one language, especially  Tamil, Polish or Arabic.

 

You will need to be able to volunteer one shift a week, ideally for a year or more.

Applicants who are successful at the application and interview stages also need to be available to attend 5 1/2 days of comprehensive Induction Training (dates included in Application pack).
