Membership - Solidarity and collaboration

WRC is the leading national umbrella organisation for the women's sector, working towards connecting all aspects of the women’s movement. We stand by, support and encourage individuals, groups and organisations to stand with us on our journey to end gender-based discrimination.

Your membership fees help us provide training or one-to-one session to individuals who are unable to meet these full costs. Your contribution is an act of solidarity, which demonstrates that as a sector we are united in bridging the gap between policy, application and action on the ground for all women.

Who are we?

In what practical way can WRC help my organisation?
WRC development team helps organisations with capacity building by providing affordable training in specialist subjects such as fundraising, writing funding applications , business planning , forming partnerships and how to build relationships with your local commissioning unit. We also offer bespoke one to one mentoring, face to face, by phone or email.

Our policy team specialises in what is needed to build substantive equality for women and offers training, briefings and one-to-one support in building political and technical processes for equality – from influencing shifts in organisational culture and ways of thinking, to developing and using tools to measure impact, social value and demonstrating the gender impact of particular policy or service delivery.

What our members say

"I think the service you provide to women and the women's sector is so important. I was continually impressed by the quality of the trainers and content of the workshops and have learned so much these past few months" - Women for Women International

"My one to one session with your team member released energy and focus - went in with big picture and passion, left with clear action points to move forward. Relief!" - Individual member

"I liked absolutely everything. I thought that it was a really, really useful day. I thought the trainer was wonderful, she really lightened to all of us, she tailored everything we did to individual people in the room, even though we're all from different places. I learned a lot, not just about the skills of writing grants applications, the style needed and the do's and dont's, nut also how the organisation needs to be arranged before you even start your application so that you can make the best use of all your resources that you already have in the office and ensure that the application is successful" - AIRE Centre
