Salary up to £21,000 pa (21 hours pw, £35,000 pro rata)

Woman’s Trust seeks an experienced therapist to be the clinical lead of our counselling services for women affected by domestic abuse.

Requirements

  • Exercise clinical responsibility for Woman’s Trust counselling, groupwork, and other therapeutic services
  • Ensure that WT counselling services are delivered to a high professional standard and in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework.
  • Lead on the development of new opportunities for the enhancement and expansion of WT counselling services
  • To lead on clinical representation of WT services to external bodies and involvement in campaigning for the improvement of services for women experiencing domestic abuse
  • To be the Safeguarding lead for the organisation and any other risk factors

Essential Criteria

  • A diploma in Person-Centred/Humanistic/Integrative counselling or equivalent
  • BACP/UKCP accreditation
  • Substantial experience, especially working with clients who have experiences abuse or trauma, and/or have complex needs
  • Experience of working with women affected by domestic abuse
  • Experience of providing clinical supervision
  • Substantial experience of supervision and coordinating counsellors or volunteers
  • Experience of working with women from black and other minority ethnic communities
