Who is it for?

The course is primarily for Women’s Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations looking to expand their knowledge on monitoring and evaluating outcomes. The course is also open to people from the voluntary and community sector working on projects and services for women.

What’s it about?

The course is relevant to anyone who wants to learn more about monitoring and evaluating projects and organisational impact. It will help organisations build comprehensive and practical systems to clearly demonstrate the value of their work and the difference this makes to the lives of women. This course will introduce the key notions and principles of good monitoring and evaluation systems. It will identify the different dimensions of monitoring and provide practical ideas on how to make the process of measuring outcomes easier and more systematic.

What will I take away?

  • Understanding the principles and terminology of monitoring and evaluation
  • Understanding what is meant by terms such as outputs, outcomes and impact
  • Reviewing the difference between soft and hard outcomes
  • Be more aware of methods to use to measure and setting indicators
  • Building a clear monitoring and evaluation framework
