Training: Business Planning

Who is it for? 

Organisations new to developing business plans

What’s it about?

  • Business plans are a standard requirement for private sector businesses.
  • Increasingly many funders and commissioners require organisations to have a business plan.
  • This module will improve your knowledge of business planning and give you the tools and resources to create one for your organisation

This training course covers:

Module 1 (9.30am-12.30pm)

  • Why do you need to have a business plan
  • What is the structure of a business plan
  • What information needs to be in a business plan

What will I take away?

  • An understanding of the purpose of a business plan
  • Practical tools and techniques for developing a business plan
  • An overview of the sections of a business plan
  • Systems to carry out an analysis of your organisation

Module 2 (1-4pm)

This looks at each section of the business plan and how to write one for your organisation.

 What will I take away?

  •  Tools and templates to build a business plan
  • Understanding of details needed in section of a business plan
  • A draft business plan
  • An action plan to complete the business plan for your organisation

 

×Due to funder requirements, we need to give priority to women’s organisations or projects based in London working with those affected by Violence Against Women and Girls. 

If you do not fulfil the above criteria and we still have places available, the following applies:

  • If your organisation is a Member of WRC you will need to pay £25 for the full day,
  • If your organisation is not a member of WRC you will need to pay £50 for the full day.
