Haringey Borough Surgery

September TUE 27
Register
TIME

9:30AM - 4:00PM Chestnut Community Centre, 280 St Ann’s Road, London N15 5BN

WRC is hosting another edition of the London Borough Surgery, this time in the borough of Haringey on Tuesday 27 September 2016. This event brings together specialists from the sector with commissioners and women’s organisations in London with a focus on Haringey, but also open to organisations based in Hackney, Islington, Enfield and Waltham Forest.

This exciting event will equip your organisation with information on commissioning and building partnerships, give you the opportunity to network with other women’s organisations and provide tools to argue for women-only services through the Equality Act 2010.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the Haringey VAWG Strategy Consultation.

We are also reintroducing our BME networking session:

The BME Networking session is a dedicated space for BME women (self-identified*). The informal session will seek to identify emerging issues facing BME women in local communities in London and challenges facing the workers and organisations trying to address these issues. The sessions provided an opportunity for networking, to find out about Imkaan’s work and to build new links for future work.

*All BME women (self- identified, trans-inclusive) are welcome to attend the BME Networking session.

Please note: as the VAWG Strategy Consultation is focused on the borough of Haringey, this event will be particularly useful to organisations based and/or delivering services in this borough. However we are welcoming organisations from surrounding boroughs as well.
