Training: Commissioning: Understanding the Basics

Who is it for?

Organisations new to commissioning that want to understand how to tender for public sector contracts

 Module 1 (9.30am-12.30pm)

What’s it about ?

Module 1 of this complementary two part course will provide you with an overview of current commissioning policy, practice and the legislation that informs it.

What will I take away?

  • Knowledge of the new NHS and local authority commissioning structures
  • Understanding of different types of tender processes, PQQs (Pre-qualification Questionnaires) and framework agreements
  • Key Steps in completing a PQQ
  • How to demonstrate ‘added value’ for women only services

 Module 2 (1-4pm)

What’s it about ?

Module 2 provides a detailed understanding of outputs, outcomes and impact measurement, together with an overview of bidding as part of a consortium and costing and pricing tenders.

What will I take away ?

  • Understanding of costing and how to price a tender
  • Knowledge of criteria weighting and scoring systems used by Commissioners
  • How to decide whether to bid or not

 

×This course is FUNDED if you are a women’s organisation or project based in London working with those affected by sexual and domestic violence.

If you do not fulfil the above criteria the following applies:

  • If your organisation is a Member of WRC you will need to pay £25 for the full day,
  • If your organisation is not a member of WRC you will need to pay £50 for the full day.
