Description:

Are you ready to take on an incredible opportunity to lead a successful and driven Media Relations and Communications team?

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. Over the past 40 years Women’s Aid has been at the forefront of shaping and coordinating responses to domestic violence and abuse through practice. We empower survivors by keeping their voices at the heart of our work, working with and for women and children by listening to them and responding to their needs. We are a federation of over 220 organisations who provide more than 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across the country. Our campaigns achieve change in policy, practice and awareness, encouraging healthy relationships and helping to build a future where domestic abuse is no longer tolerated.

Women’s Aid needs a dynamic manager, able to lead a fast pace in a successful and driven communications team.  You will need to be an excellent communicator and fast thinker with plenty of initiative to manage our marketing and communications channels, and further expand our online and media presence to better serve our stakeholders and target audiences.

This is an incredibly rare opportunity to lead a successful and dedicated team at Women’s Aid.  As news happens out-of-hours, this role will include covering the out-of-hours media on-call rota.  It will also include travel and occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
Type: Full time – Temporary
Salary: £34,949 to £38,442 based on NJC Scale Points 41 – 45 (plus inner London weighting of £3,332 where appropriate).
