Women and Girls Network (WGN) is a specialist therapeutic service leading in developing and delivering innovative and effective counselling services for women and girls who have experienced all forms of gender-based violence.

The Indigo Project is an exciting innovative service that is funded by the Big Lottery and aimed at providing a resource for women and girls from a background of multiple disadvantages, complex, high-risk needs primarily associated with experiences of gender based violence. The service will deliver specialist, trauma focused, integrated holistic, high-intensity care pathways from a multi-disciplinary team.

We are looking to recruit a pioneering and dynamic individual who is committed and motivated to eradicate gender-based violence, challenge systems and structures to ensure the rights and needs of clients are protected and promoted, is passionate about developing and delivering empowering client centred services and would thrive in a multi-cultural feminist environment.

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the key issues for working with women chronically disempowered through multiple disadvantages alongside experiences of gender-based violence and a proven track record of project management of a specialist therapeutic service for high risk and multiple needs clients.

The Mental Health Services Manager will be responsible for the coordinated responses of the Indigo Project multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity, working with a diverse remit to ensure quality of therapeutic provision and innovation is central to service delivery. The successful applicant will have a background in and be able to demonstrate the following:


  • Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team in a VAWG specialist organisation
  • Experience of project management
  • Experience of providing services with mental health presentations including high risk and multiple needs
  • Be able to support a team to facilitate recovery and respond to a diverse client group with multiple cultural identities

Type: 28 hours per week (part-time)
Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 (per annum, pro rata)
