Job title: Volunteer Counsellor

Opportunities to volunteer within Solace’s counselling service have arisen.  This role is suitable for qualified counsellors who have completed over 150 hours clinically supervised hours.  An understanding of domestic and sexual violence and its impact is desirable.  The role will be working with women and girls who are living with or have experienced domestic and/or sexual violence. A second language would be helpful although not essential. This position requires you to undertake an enhanced DBS check, which Solace will arrange.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • 150 hours of clinical experience required
  • A qualification in counselling.
  • Working towards BACP or UKCP accreditation
  • Good written communication skills
  • Tact and discretion in handling confidential information

Commitment A typical volunteer commitment is 12 months, 4 clients per day
