Who is it for?

This training is for organisations new to measuring outcomes or those who want to refresh their skills in the area.

Module 1 [9:30-12:30]

What's it about?

We all know the value of the work we do, but how do we demonstrate the difference your work makes to the lives of women you work with? In this increasingly challenging funding environment it is essential that women’s organisations have adequate systems in place to capture information on how their services change lives. This course will introduce the key notions and principles of good monitoring and evaluation systems. It will identify the different dimensions of monitoring and provide practical ideas on how to make the process of measuring outcomes easier and more systematic.

What will I take away?

  • Understanding the principles and terminology of outcomes monitoring
  • A framework for measuring outcomes

Module 2  [13:00 - 16:00]

What's it about?

This module will build on the knowledge provided by Module 1 to help participants identify good-quality indicators from the projects and consider different methods for gathering data.

What will I take away?

  • Identify what ‘an indicator' is
  • Essential components of an indicator
  • Options for collecting data on indicators
